MOUNTAIN GORILLA CONSERVATION SOCIETY OF CANADA
Investing in the Future of Wildlife Conservation
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we have awarded three full scholarships in the Master’s program in Wildlife Health and Management at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. Two veterinarians graduated in early 2024, and a third began studies in spring 2025. Our fourth and fifth scholarship recipients will begin their studies at the University of Liège in Belgium in September 2026.
Each scholarship creates a ripple effect far beyond one student. These veterinarians return to the field equipped to protect endangered wildlife, prevent zoonotic disease, support local communities, and strengthen conservation efforts where they are needed most. One investment in education becomes years of impact on the ground.
By supporting these scholarships, you are empowering future veterinarians through training in medicine, research, and leadership—helping safeguard the health of people, wildlife, and ecosystems.
Together, we are building lasting change. Your generosity doesn’t just fund education—it fuels healthier communities, stronger conservation, and a more hopeful future for wildlife.
